Font that
uses the special characters needs to be available on the server for the XML
Publisher Engine to be able to read and create a subset of the font to be
embedded in the output PDF
In order to
use the non-standard true type fonts the following settings need to be checked:
1. Under the C:\WINDOWS\FONTS the non-standard true type fonts required in order to display the type of character wanted should exist.
2. Under %PSHOME%\JRE\LIB\FONTS the same non-standard true type fonts installed under WINDOWS folder should exist.
3. PDF files have font embedded into report, thus on the server where engine is to be run, it must be able to find this font. The location of non-standard true type fonts is set via the xdo.cfg file.
Check the
settings in the xdo.cfg file under “Font setting” section that are used
properly.
