Upgrade SQL Server or apply Service Pack on Cluster environment MSCS is so simple but require certain sequential steps to follow.
- Move Node to Server B
- Start Installation(DB Upgrade)/ Service Pack on Server A (Passive Node)
- Select Upgrade Cluster Instance on Installation Screen and follow options
- Restart Server A after instillation
- Start Installation(DB Upgrade)/ Service Pack on Server B
- Move Node to Server A after Installation complete on Server B
- Restart Server B after installation
