Today I talk about basics of PeopleSoft ERP
PeopleSoft architecture is pure internet based architecture and PeopleTools consist of five servers.
1- Database Server
2- Application Server
3- Process Scheduler Server
4- File Server
5- Web Server
Database Server:
This server is responsible for storing data. PeopleSoft Supports five different databases vendor, Oracle, Microsoft , Informix , Sybase and DB2.
Application Server:
This Server is responsible for component processing and business logic and core heart of Peoplesoft application .
Process Scheduler Server:
This Server is responsible for running reports and processes in batch mode. This server also known as Report or Batch Server:
File Server:
This server contains report files, repository, Cobol binaries and application designer and tools binaries.
Web Server:
This Server is responsible for providing web request / response to client. PeopleSoft Supports two vendors WebLogic and WebSphere.
