PeopleSoft Recruiting and Admissions Supports the Admission Cycle


This list describes how PeopleSoft applications support the admission process:
1. PeopleSoft Recruiting and Admissions captures an individual who is interested in the
organization and defines them as a prospect
2. The prospect is tracked using the 3Cs.
3. The prospect submits an application to the organization through PeopleSoft
Recruiting and Admissions.
4. An application center receives and reviews the application.
5. Depending on the application review, the applicant’s program action status changes
form Applied to Admitted or some other value and an offer letter is sent to he
student.
6. If the student submits an intent to enroll, the institution matriculates the student.
7. Once matriculated, the student moves to the PeopleSoft Student Records application
where he or she is term activated and prepared for course enrollment.

Recruiting Regions & Categories
          Recruiting regions and recruiting categories are used to connect recruiters with prospects and applicants.
          You assign regions to prospects and applicants can have regions assigned manually, or based on home or school postal code.

Application & Recruiting Centers
          The recruiting center helps to identify the prospects and recruiters who belong to a particular recruiting office.
          Application centers are where admissions applications are processed.
          By defining application centers, you can track which office is handling a specific application.

External Organizations
          The admissions office often interacts with other schools, colleges, and other types of organizations during the recruiting and admission process.
          External organizations as well as the individual contacts within those organizations.

Events
          Plan and track recruiting functions critical to enrollment management planning.
          Record and track who was invited and who attended.

3Cs
          The 3Cs feature is an integrated piece of Recruiting and Admissions, and can be used throughout the prospect, applicant, and student life cycle.
          You can develop tailored communication plans based on a prospect or applicant’s individual characteristics.

Test Ids and Security
          Provides a way to configure and secure test data for all individuals in the system.
          User based security allows for the proper access to pages used for processing and posting of test scores.

Web Prospects
          Prospects can be created through the Request Information feature.
          When and how prospects can do this is based on setup rules you define.
